To promote interaction between local and international students and foster a multicultural learning environment, the Office of Bilingual Education of the College of Management and Social Sciences hosted the “EMI Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Exchange Party (Wrapped in Culture: Dragon Boat Festival Celebration)” on June 9. The event brought together Taiwanese and international students, faculty members from the College, as well as teachers from other colleges and departments, creating opportunities for cross-college exchange in a warm and festive atmosphere.

The event opened with welcoming remarks from Dean Ming-Hui Chen, who encouraged participants to take advantage of the opportunity to engage in English communication and cultural sharing to broaden their global perspectives and deepen intercultural understanding.

To introduce international students to Taiwanese traditions, the event featured zongzi (traditional rice dumplings), allowing participants to experience the Dragon Boat Festival firsthand. Many international students learned about the origins and customs of the festival while enjoying the food in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Through this event, students not only practiced English in an authentic context but also enhanced their intercultural communication skills. Faculty members from different colleges also exchanged experiences in EMI teaching and internationalization efforts, promoting cross-college collaboration and resource sharing.

The event concluded in a warm and lively atmosphere, leaving participants with memorable experiences and reflecting the College’s ongoing commitment to internationalization and bilingual education.
